The present invention relates to a multilayer ceramic substrate and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the multilayer ceramic substrate comprises: a ceramic layer made of a first surface layer, a second surface layer, and an inner layer interposed between the first and second surface layers; and a surface layer electrode formed on an exposed surface of the first surface layer or the second surface and made of spherical metal powder. The first and second surface layers are made of first spherical ceramic powder, and the inner layer is made of leaf-shaped ceramic powder. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a multilayer ceramic substrate capable of enhancing adhesive intensity between a ceramic layer and an electrode layer and preventing warpage at the same time.
