Method of accelerating turbine rotation driven by exhaust gases for period of time until driver transfers its leg from brake pedal to accelerator pedal to cause start. Partial list of actions, which can be taken to increase internal energy of exhaust gases supplied to turbine, includes: throttle opening, reduction of ignition advance angle and closing of supercharging pressure control.
