PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ≥3C olefin with a high yield by efficiently separating the ≥3C olefin which is an objective substance from a reaction mixture obtained by bringing a catalyst and a synthesis gas into contact with each other after suppressing increase in a cooling load in low temperature separation, in producing the ≥3C olefin by bringing the synthesis gas, whose principal ingredients are carbon monoxide and hydrogen, and the catalyst into contact with each other.SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide, methane, and a 2C component are separated from a reaction mixture obtained by bringing a catalyst and a synthesis gas into contact with each other through a membrane separation method or a low temperature separation method, and then unseparated components are separated and purified. By preliminarily separating COand ≤2C components composed of small molecules through the membrane separation method or the adsorption separation method, a cooling load in a subsequent low temperature separation can be reduced, and by suppressing azeotrope of propylene which is an objective substance and CO, loss of propylene can be reduced. |
