The present invention relates to a component supporting head of a component mounter which realizes a Z-direction descending action of a spindle and an R-direction rotation action of a rotary head at the same time when dropping the spindle in a Z-direction in order to bring a nozzle into contact with a component or to bring a component supported on the nozzle into contact with a substrate, changes a Z-direction descending speed of the spindle into a constant speed after the R-direction rotation action of the rotary head is terminated during an operation of bringing the nozzle into contact with the component or bringing the component supported on the nozzle into contact with the substrate and brings the nozzle into contact with the component or brings the component supported on the nozzle into contact with the substrate when the Z-direction descending speed of the spindle is maintained at a constant speed. |
