The present invention relates to a terminal and a method for operating the same. The terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a display; a communication unit exchanging data with an external device; and a control unit receiving access restoration information from the external device, performing a control for access request transmission to the external device, receiving an access authorization from the external device, performing a control for an access to the external device, performing a control for data exchange after the access, conducting scanning for peripheral device search in a case where the access to the external device is terminated in an abnormal manner, and performing a control for a re-access to the external device in a case where the access restoration information from a scanned peripheral device corresponds to the access restoration information of the previously accessed external device. Accordingly, a re-access based on enhanced security is allowed in the case of an abnormal termination during direct communication with the external device. |
