Disclosed are a power supply apparatus of an AVN system for a vehicle and a control method thereof. The power supply apparatus of an AVN system for a vehicle comprises: a DC-DC converter which receives power from a battery of the vehicle and takes off through a PWM drive signal, and then converts the power to DC power used in the AVN system; and a control unit which receives the PWM drive signal from the DC-DC converter, calculates a PWM drive frequency, receives a tuned frequency of a radio from the AVN system, determines the presence of interference between a multiplication frequency and a tuning frequency of the PWM drive frequency, and adjusts the PWM drive frequency. The present invention adjusts a PWM drive frequency of the DC-DC converter in reference to a tuning frequency of the current radio when supplying DC power to the AVN system for a vehicle, so as to prevent interference with the tuning frequency of the radio. |
