The present invention provides conductive paste for an external electrode, a multilayer ceramic electronic component using the same, and a manufacturing method thereof. The conductive paste for an external electrode includes: a first conductive particle including metal; a second conductive particle wherein silver (Ag) is coated on a surface of a ceramic particle; and a thermosetting resin. According to the present invention, the paste for an external electrode can improve an equivalent series resistance (ESR) characteristic of the multilayer ceramic electronic component.
