PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder which can suppress the generation of noise at the time of holding a roller in a state where the roller is separated from an accumulation of plural sheets.SOLUTION: A sheet feeder 100 comprises: a feeding mechanism 110 which is provided with a roller 111 fixed to a second shaft 103; and a holding mechanism 120 which holds the feeding mechanism 110 in the state where the roller 111 is separated from an accumulation 50 of plural sheets. The feeding mechanism 110 comprises: an arm 112 which connects a first shaft 102 and the second shaft 103 and rotates the second shaft 103 around the first shaft 102 with rotation of the first shaft 102; a transmission mechanism 113 which is provided in the arm 112 and selectively performs transmission and non-transmission of rotation from the first shaft 102 to the second shaft 103 in accordance with the rotation direction of the first shaft 102; and a releasing member 119 which is fixed to the second shaft 103 and releases holding of the feeding mechanism 110 with the holding mechanism 120 by rotating around the second shaft 103.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
