PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when printer monitoring information for monitoring the state of a printer and jobs transmitted to the printer (IP addresses and the types of the printers) is not sufficient for a printer list installed in a client PC, an insufficient part of the information cannot be appropriately compensated even with the use of external information.SOLUTION: In creating printer monitoring information, a printer monitoring information management system imports management information from the outside and provides means for updating base information acquired from an OS. When printers having the same IP address are included in import information, the updating means updates the types of the printers with insufficient information, and when printers having the same port name and host name are included in the import information, updates the IP address and the types of the printers to compensate for the management information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
