PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generation unit that can give ions to the air efficiently.SOLUTION: An ion generation unit 1A comprises an inlet port 23A for introducing the air, an outlet port 23B for discharging the air, a ventilation route 26 connecting the inlet port 23A and the outlet port 23B, and an ion generation element (a discharge electrode 34) arranged to face the ventilation route 26. On a wall surface facing the wall surface on which the ion generation element is arranged, a projection part 25a that protrudes from the wall surface toward the wall surface on which the ion generation element is arranged is provided at a position facing the ion generation element or a position at an upstream side of the ventilation route 26 with respect to the former position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
