PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism detection method, a microorganism detection device and a program which can detect a microorganism connected or overlapped with a foreign matter from an image photographing a test object to be capable of acquiring relatively high detection accuracy of the microorganism.SOLUTION: In a microorganism detection method, colony candidates are extracted based on a concentration difference value of an image photographing a test object (S15). The colony candidates are discriminated between a bubble candidate possibly including bubble and a colony candidate less possibly including bubble by bubble filter processing (S16). Bubble removal processing (foreign matter removal processing) is performed to the bubble candidate (S17). The bubble removal processing extracts a region where a circle having a specified diameter can be inscribed (aggregation region of inscribed circles) from the bubble candidate region. A region of bubble where the circle cannot be inscribed (circular ring region) is removed and a region of colony where the circle can be inscribed (circular region) is left to be extracted.
