PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of an output signal utilizing a pyroelectric element.SOLUTION: A detector 100 comprises: a pyroelectric element 12 where electric charge by pyroelectric effect is generated at a first detection end D1 and a second detection end D2; a chopper type amplifier circuit 18 generating an amplification signal SA corresponding to the electric charge generated at the first detection end D1 and the second detection end D2 by chopping; and an initialization switch 14 controlling electrical connection between the second detection end D2 and power supply 22 generating an initialization voltage VRST. The initialization switch 14 is brought into an on-state before start of amplification operation by the amplifier circuit 18 and maintains an off-state during the amplification operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
