PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a primary battery, a secondary battery, an electric double layer capacitor, and a pseudo electric double layer capacitor which is excellent in electrolyte impregnation properties and is less likely to cause swelling and short circuit.SOLUTION: A separator 3 contains a porous layer 9, and coating layers 11 and 13 which contain one or more selected from the group consisting of porous silica, active charcoal and zeolite, and are formed on one surface or both surfaces of the porous layer. The porous layer is formed of any one of a polyethylene resin, a polypropylene resin, a polyacrylonitrile resin, a vinylidene fluoride resin, an acrylic resin, and an urethane resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
