Disclosed is a device and method for controlling an insulation switch. The device and method for controlling an insulation switch according to the present invention has, in an insulation switch such as a photo MOS relay, a circuit configured to control a light emitting diode (LED), which is included in the insulation switch, to be normally maintained in a turned-off state and to switch into a turned-on state when an event occurs. Therefore, the device and method can reduce a time during which an LED is kept in a light emitting state, thereby reducing power consumption in emitting light by the LED and can increase the lifespan of the insulation switch, thereby improving the durability of a system to which the insulation switch is applied. |
