An electronic gaming machine has a game server connected to at least one gaming apparatus which is connectable to a credit store to which a user may add credit, and a winings store for receiving credit from winning games. Data from the same game ticket can be used in a plurality of game rounds using credit from the credit store and then from a winnings store. If winnings are made in the first game, another game round can be started with the same ticket by staking winnings from the winnings store without reducing the credit in the credit store.
