The present invention relates to an intelligent switching module (100) including: an SCR module (11) opening and closing an electricity path toward a corresponding capacitor bank; a current sensor (17) which is combined with the electricity path toward the corresponding capacitor bank, and senses a current flowing in the electricity path; and a switching module control part (13) which controls at least the SCR module (11) indirectly or directly. The switching module control part (13) monitors at least one of an excessive current flowing to the corresponding capacitor bank and capacitance reduction of the corresponding capacitor bank autonomously, and controls the SCR module (11) not to insert the corresponding capacitor bank regardless of an insertion command of a control device (200) according to the monitoring result. According to the present invention, the intelligent switching module can protect the capacitor bank and a static var compensation system from combustion, fire, explosion, etc., and can extend the lifespan of the capacitor bank, can reduce diagnosis costs by enabling a user to perform diagnosis promptly, and can provide management convenience of the user. |
