A syringe is obtained in which PTFE is used for a gasket main body that comes into direct contact with an injection solution, and a slidable silicone rubber is used for a section that does not come into contact with the injection solution. The syringe (A) is characterized by being formed from: a syringe barrel (1); a gasket (10) which is press-fitted into the syringe barrel (1); and a plunger rod (5) which is attached to the gasket (10). The gasket (10) is formed from a rigid plastic exhibiting drug-solution resistance to a drug solution (30) with which the syringe barrel (1) is filled. A recessed groove (18) is formed along the entire periphery of a sliding contact surface (11) of a main body section (26) which slides along the inner peripheral surface (2) of the syringe barrel (1). A sliding contact ring (19), which is fitted into the recessed groove (18), and which slides along the inner peripheral surface (2) of the syringe barrel, is obtained by adding, to a silicone rubber base material (19c), a silicone oil, and a spherical ultra-high-molecular-weight fine powder. |
