摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID tag which can secure a communication range in spite of small sizes (1.7 to 13 mm square) thereof, has heat resistance and can furthermore reduce costs compared with the conventional types using on-chip antenna or packaging, and an automatic recognition system using the RFID tag. <P>SOLUTION: The RFID tag comprises: a substrate 1 composed of polyimide or glass epoxy having a relative permittivity of 3.5 or more; an IC chip 30 having an operation frequency of 0.86 to 0.96 GHz; an antenna 20 formed in a coil shape, in which a lead wire width and a distance between lead wires are approximately 0.2 mm and 0.2 mm respectively. The RFID tag is designed to have a resonance frequency same as or close to the operation frequency of the IC chip, and has a sealing material that is principally composed of epoxy, carbon and silica and that has a relative permittivity of 2.6 or more. And the RFID tag is configured not to expose a metal and a semiconductor on a surface of the tag by integrally sealing the antenna, the IC chip, and the metal electrically connecting the antenna and the IC chip, and configured to have an outer dimension of 4 mm or less in length, 4 mm or less in width, and 0.4 mm or less in height. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
