A screening method suitable for a fluorescent-powder optical film of a backlight module, and a backlight module. The backlight module comprises a light source and a light guide plate. The light guide plate comprises a light-in surface and a light-out surface. A fluorescent-powder optical film is arranged on the light-out surface. The screening method comprises the steps of: a) dividing an inplane region of a backlight module which does not match a fluorescent-powder optical film (30) into a plurality of measurement regions, and acquiring the transmission spectrum of each measurement region; b) acquiring a chromatic value of each measurement region after matching with the fluorescent-powder optical film (30); c) judging whether the chromatic value of each measurement region after matching with the fluorescent-powder optical film, which is obtained in step b, is within a range of standard chrominance or not; if the chromatic values of the measurement regions after matching with the fluorescent-powder optical film are respectively within the range of standard chrominance, completing the screening of the fluorescent-powder optical film; and if the chromatic value of at least one measurement region after matching with the fluorescent-powder optical film (30) is not within the range of standard chrominance, matching with the at least one measurement region with a new fluorescent-powder optical film (30), and returning to step b). The backlight module having the fluorescent-powder optical film has a relatively good uniformity of chrominance, while having a high color saturation and penetration rate. |
