The present invention describes a compound of formula (I), where R is selected from a methyl group or an ethyl group:
the hydroxy acid forms thereof, the pharmaceutically acceptable salts of said hydroxy acids and pharmaceutically acceptable prodrugs and solvates of said compounds and of the hydroxy acid forms thereof, and the use thereof in the prevention or treatment of: neurodegenerative or neurological diseases, cognitive impairment, diseases with impaired APP metabolism, inflammation or inflammatory processes, or epilepsy, epileptic seizures and convulsions.
