摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive system capable of reducing inertial weight by the interlocking rotation of a differential mechanism to wheels in a driven state according to a regeneration drive state of a motor-generator, and to provide a hybrid vehicle thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle drive system includes a front motor 5 which changes a pair of front wheels 17 from the driven state to a drive state by output drive and which can perform charging by regeneration drive in the driven state of the front wheels 17, and a front differential 15 which has a differential case 41a rotating along with the front wheels 17 side and which transmits the output torque of the front motor 5 entered into the differential case 41a to the front wheels 17.
