The invention provides a method for intermediate sterilization of an insulator (1) of a system for the treating containers. The method comprises the following steps: introducing a temperature regulating fluid having a higher temperature than the insulator (1) in the insulator (1), whereby the insulator (1) is tempered; at least partially removing the temperature regulating fluid from the insulator (1); and introducing a dry sterilization agent into the insulator (1).
