a body having a first end and a second end, the body further having an outer wall defining only a single channel therein for aspirating material therethrough from a surgical region in an eye at the second end, the body including a straight portion connected to the first end and a curved portion connecting the straight portion to the second end, the body further defining an annular protrusion surrounding only the single channel defined within the body and axially displaced from the second end such that a portion of the curved portion of the probe tip extends from the second end to the annular protrusion; and wherein the probe tip is configured to vibrate at ultrasonic frequencies. |
