PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect inconsistency between databases, in a database system including a plurality of databases having a hierarchical structure.SOLUTION: A contractor information database DB#1 is defined as a start database. A record in a region 1003 is defined as a start record. A record in a region 2003 indicated by link information "region 2003" in the record in a basic contract number information database DB#2, and including data, is retrieved. A record in a region 3001 indicated by link information "region 3001" in the record in an additional contract number information database DB#3, and including data, is retrieved. A record in a region 1001 indicated by link information "region 1001" in the record in the contractor information database DB#1, and including data, is retrieved.
