PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to encapsulate a content paper P1 and an inserter paper P3 into an envelope in such a manner that inverted directions and the front and back directions of the content paper and the inserter paper are aligned according to a direction of the inserter paper P3.SOLUTION: A letter preparation device is equipped with: a paper folding part 55 which folds a content paper P1 and feeds the content paper onto a transportation passage; an inserter part 47 which feeds an inserter paper P3 onto a transportation passage; an acquisition part which acquires information concerning inverted directions, and the front and back of the content paper P1 and the inserter paper P3 fed by the inserter part 47; a confluent part in which the content paper P1 folded by the paper folding part and the inserter paper P3 fed to the inserter part are overlapped each other; and an encapsulation part which encapsulates the confluent content paper P1 and inserter paper P3 into an envelope paper. When the content paper P1 and the inserter paper P3 are confluent at the confluent part and overlap each other, the inverted direction, and the content paper and the inserter paper are so folded on the basis of information acquired by the acquisition part that the inverted direction and the front and back of an image of the content paper P1 are coincident with the inverted direction and the front and back of an image of the inserter paper P3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
