PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing increase of a conveyance time by operating at an irreducible minimum measures to cope with a loss of synchronism in a document feeding motor under a low-temperature environment.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a document feeding motor 42 which rotates a document feeding roller; a control part 8 which increases a pulse rate of a driving signal to be outputted to the document feeding motor 42 gradually from a stop state and stably drives the document feeding motor at a predetermined pulse rate; and a temperature sensor 41 for measuring an environmental temperature. The control part 8 drives the document feeding motor 42 multiple times through normal feeding control for increasing the pulse rate at a normal increase rate at the environmental temperature equal to or higher than a low temperature countermeasure threshold temperature as a feeding retry operation, drives the document feeding motor 42 through the normal feeding control at the environmental temperature lower than the low temperature countermeasure threshold temperature, and then drives the document feeding motor 42 through low temperature countermeasure feeding control for increasing the pulse rate at a low temperature countermeasure increase rate lower than the normal increase rate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
