PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a coke oven surely preventing occurrence of extrusion clogging in a carbonization chamber even when it is an aging coke oven.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for operating a coke oven 1 in which coal is charged into a carbonization chamber 3 in the coke oven. A projection amount of an inner wall part which projects with respect to a position of an inner wall of the carbonization chamber 3 is examined based on a hot dimension when the coke oven 1 is built, and on an upper surface of the coal charged into the carbonization chamber 3, the projection amount is equal to or less than the height of the inner wall part which is 20 mm or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
