PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing filament yarns for obtaining yarn with good quality, such as free of unevenness of thickness of the yarn due to yarn sway, superior strength, and superior elongation, by achieving uniform suction performance of a volatile matter in the circumferential direction, and suction over a long period of time simultaneously.SOLUTION: There is provided an apparatus for producing filament yarns comprising: an annular cooling device 3 that blows the air flow to yarns from the outside of the traveling passage of the yarns 2 obtained by melt-spinning a thermoplastic polymer to the inside; and a suction device 14 which sucks a volatile matter which occurs in the vicinity of a nozzle 1 which discharges the thermoplastic polymer. The suction device 14 comprises a suction part 11 and a suction flow channel 6. The suction part 11 has a suction port 5 between the annular cooling device 3 and the nozzle 1 and has an annular flow channel disposed such that the annular flow channel communicates with the suction port 5 and surrounds the outside of the annular cooling device 3. The suction flow channel 6 communicates with an annular flow channel of the suction part 11, and at least one portion of the flow channel is divided to two or more of flow channels, and a pressure loss member 15 is disposed in at least one flow channel of the divided flow channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
