PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection circuit which is improved in robustness.SOLUTION: A first detector 302 compares an electric signal Sto be monitored with a first threshold TH1. A second detector 304 compares the electric signal Swith a second threshold TH2. A first memory 306 stores setting data D1 of the first threshold TH1, and a second memory 308 stores setting data D2 of the second threshold TH2. An interface circuit 310 receives data from an external processor 4 and writes the data into the first memory 306 and the second memory 308. A protection circuit 30 is configured to write data into the first memory 306 only when a predetermined condition is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
