PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookstand that has a plain structure and a simple design, that prevents books from slipping and falling down, and that can surely hold even a single sheet of paper while, in an average bookstand, bookshelf, and cabinet, unless standing books or documents are closely arranged, they tend to collapse, fall down and become messy.SOLUTION: The arched bookstand, which can hold even a single sheet of paper, is characterized in that it is composed of two vertically oriented resin or metallic sheets, with one made an arched plate and the other made a presser plate; that the arched plate is formed slightly longer, with the arched plate and the presser plate stuck together using a joint held therebetween in the central part, and with a rubber or resin stopper attached to both ends; and that, in one end of the arched plate, there is installed a knob for gripping when the plate is curved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
