PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that controls a user authentication and switching for switching into one specific operation mode among a first power saving mode, a second power saving mode, and emergency stop, depending on an alarm level of disaster information.SOLUTION: A system control part 222 controls, depending on the alarm level of disaster information acquired by a disaster information acquiring part 218, the user authentication by a user authentication function part 219, and the switching for switching into one specific operation mode among the first power saving mode, the second power saving mode, and the emergency stop by an operation mode switching part 220. With this, based on the alarm level at a time of emergency disaster such as earthquake, it is possible to deactivate the user authentication function, and also possible to switch to the power saving modes and the emergency stop selectively, under which it is possible to reduce the power supplied to a heat source such as the heater of a fixing part that could lead to fire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
