PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide floating body type offshore equipment which can significantly reduce the space of an engine room with the arrangement of a propulsion system used on sailing to an offshore installation site but unnecessary during operation on the ocean and markedly increase the space of a cargo hold for production facility as offshore equipment or for storage, and a power supply method for floating body type offshore equipment.SOLUTION: A propulsion system for moving floating body type offshore equipment 1 is constituted of an electric propulsion system which drives a propeller 21 with a dynamo electric motor 22, and power generators 11a, 11b, 12a and 12b of the first group and power generators 13a and 13b of the second group are disposed on an upper deck 3 and in the engine room 5, respectively. Further, electric power for operating production facility 30 of the floating body type offshore equipment 1 is supplied by both the first group and the second group, and electric power for driving the dynamo electric motor 22 is supplied by the second group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
