PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator and a droplet ejection device using a driving method in which deformation characteristics in the lapse of time of a piezoelectric element due to continuous application of a driving voltage signal are suppressed.SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric actuator driven by applying a driving voltage signal to a piezoelectric element, such a driving voltage signal that voltage change rates Tf2, Tr2 in a specified period (a period of a voltage region Vw) in which an electrostatic capacitance of the piezoelectric element relatively increases get to smaller than voltage change rates Tf1, Tr1 in a remaining period, during at least one side of the periods, is applied to the piezoelectric element during at least one side period of a deformation period for deforming the piezoelectric element in a specified direction and a deformation returning period for returning the deformation of the piezoelectric element which is deformed in a specified direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
