PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorption steering column capable of absorbing energy during the axial relative movement of an inner tube and an outer tube by simple means, and a steering device including the same and a telescopic mechanism.SOLUTION: An inner tube 10 has a groove part (slit 12) formed over a predetermined distance in an axial direction, and a fixing member (bolt 30)in which a tip part having a diameter larger than its width is inserted into the inner tube and a base end is fixed to the outer tube 20. During the movement of the inner tube relative to the outer tube, the fixing member expands the width of the groove part to move in the axial direction, and then energy is absorbed. The fixing member can also be used for fixing the attachment 42 of a telescopic mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
