PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst converter device capable of suppressing the occurrence of cracking in an insulating layer in an axial end portion of an inner tube.SOLUTION: A catalyst converter device 12 comprises: a catalyst carrier 14 heated by carrying a current thereto; and a case 28 that is formed into a cylindrical shape, that accommodates therein the catalyst carrier 14, and that is attached to an exhaust pipe 10. The case 28 is provided with an upstream-side conical member 20 and a connection member 22 that are disposed upstream of the catalyst carrier 14 in an exhaust gas flow direction, and an upstream-side reduced-diameter section 32 which is provided within the upstream-side conical member 20 and the connection member 22 so that an axial upstream end portion 32D is formed to be tapered and a tip end surface 33 of the upstream end portion 32D is formed into a curved shape. A glass coat layer 40 is provided at least in an inner side surface and the upstream end portion 32D of the upstream-side reduced-diameter section 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
