FIELD: agriculture.SUBSTANCE: method of selection of breeding hogs of meat breeds comprises evaluation of the productive characteristics, when age at 100 kg live weight is taken into account, as well as diameter and depth of pit at the tailhead at this age. When the parameters of pit at the tailhead constitute the depth of ≥0.8 cm and diameter of ≥4 cm, the animals are used in the reproduction system to obtain offspring.
