FIELD: measurement equipment.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and method for capacitance reading of a rotary motion of a rotary element. The device comprises four electrodes (1, 2, 3, 4) located in a single plane, a data processing device (18) connected to them and an electroconductive binding surface (5), which is arranged on the rotary element opposite to the electrodes (1, 2, 3, 4). Besides, the electrodes (1, 2, 3, 4) include the central exciting electrode (4), around which the other electrodes (1, 2, 3) are located. At the same time the binding surface (5) in each position of surface rotation is opposite to the exciting electrode (4) and covers a part of the surface formed by the other electrodes (1, 2, 3), and also during rotation of the rotary element passes over different areas of the surface formed by the other electrodes (1, 2, 3). The data processing device (18) has an exciting circuit (19) connected to the exciting electrode (4) for the generation of exciting pulses (13) with a specified frequency and a data processing circuit (20) connected to the other electrodes (1, 2, 3) to collect signals applied to the other electrodes (1, 2, 3) by voltage and for the comparison of these signals by voltage. The other electrodes (1, 2, 3) are formed by two electrodes-sensors (1, 3) and one common basic electrode (2), besides, at least the common basic electrode (2) is made as differing from the electrodes-sensors (1, 3), and the data processing circuit (20) is made so that there is a difference (DIFF 1, DIFF 2) of signals by voltage between one of both the electrodes-sensors (1, 3) and the common basic electrode (2).EFFECT: possibility to measure the direction of rotation.14 cl, 10 dwg |
