<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem associated with a conventional shot making apparatus, wherein a certain volume of the space inside a crucible is occupied by a stopper and, when liquid level of the crucible is initially high, a continuous flow occurs, thereby producing a linear shot. <P>SOLUTION: A shot making apparatus is equipped with: an upper crucible equipped with an interior space capable of holding a metal lump before melting and a discharge opening that is communicated with the interior space and is located at a lower part of the interior space; a heating member that heats the upper crucible so as to melt the metal lump; and a lower crucible that is located below the upper crucible and is equipped with a stopper with a protruded shape, a discharge pool located around the stopper and a discharge opening that is communicated with the discharge pool and is located at a bottom of the discharge pool. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
