PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platinum-rhodium alloy of which crystal grains are prevented from being coarsened even when used at high temperature for a long time.SOLUTION: There is provided a platinum-rhodium alloy which is an alloy containing an alkali earth metal element consisting of one or more of Ca, Sr and Ba of 0.1 to 1.5 mol% in total, Rh of 9 to 40 mol% and the balance Pt with inevitable impurities, having deposit particles of a secondary phase mainly constituted by Pt and the alkali earth metal element dispersed in a base phase and an area percentage of the secondary phase in a cross section of 25% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
