Provided is an electric actuator having improved working efficiency and productivity by assembling a subassembly, which is formed by unitizing peripheral components of a ball screw mechanism and assembling this ball screw assembly into one housing, and another unitized housing. A first housing 2a and a second housing 2b are provided with a through-hole 11 and a blind hole 12 for accommodating a screw shaft 10, and a ball screw assembly formed by unitizing a ball screw mechanism 8, a pair of support bearings 20, and an output gear 6 is fitted to the second housing 2b provided with the blind hole 12. The electric actuator includes a second housing subassembly A, into which is fitted a sleeve 17 for supporting the screw shaft 10 in such a manner that it cannot be rotated but can be moved in the axial direction, and a first housing subassembly B, in which an electric motor 3 is attached to the first housing 2a having the through-hole 11. These housing subassemblies A and B are fastened together with a fixing bolt 35. |
