PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of preventing noise from being generated by LCD included in an output voice, without considerably changing a configuration.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device 1 includes: an FM radio tuner 16 for receiving a FM broadcast wave in a preset reception frequency; an FM radio control section 52; an LCD unit 22 capable of changing a horizontal synchronization frequency corresponding to each of lines in a horizontal direction by varying a horizontal blanking period in the horizontal direction without changing the number of effective pixels and an effective display period of display in the horizontal direction and a vertical direction; a horizontal synchronizing frequency setting section 54 for setting the horizontal synchronization frequency in such a manner that a minimum value of a difference between the reception frequency of the FM broadcast wave and a multiplication frequency that is an integer multiple of the horizontal synchronization frequency, becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined value; and a video drawing processing section 20 which generates a video signal required for displaying an operation screen or a manipulation screen corresponding to a receiving operation of the FM broadcast wave on the LCD unit 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
