A farm system (1) provided with at least one control unit (2) and at least one animal interaction device communicatively connected with the control unit, such as an automatic feed dispenser (6i), milking robot (8) or a controllable gaten (12, 14, 18, 20), - wherein the system is further provided with at least one tag (30) such as a barcode, SQR code or an RFID label (32), and at least one portable reader (24) for reading a code of the tag, wherein the reader is communicatively connected with the control unit, wherein the tag is a fixed tag which is set up in a fixed place and which is associated with the at least one animal interaction device, wherein the system is possibly furthermore provided with at least one mobile tag (40) which for instance can be carried by a user of the reader, wherein the system is configured such that upon scanning of the code of the fixed tag with the reader, the reader passes information about the scanned code to the control unit, wherein the control unit in response to the received information about the scanned code of the fixed tag selects the at least one animal interaction device to be controlled, and wherein the system is configured such that the manner in which the at least one animal interaction device is controlled by the control unit is associated with the scanned code of the fixed tag or is associated with a scanned code of the mobile tag. |
