The present invention relates to a preparation method of a photocatalyst-coated optical fiber fabric composite and a photocatalyst-coated optical fiber fabric composite prepared thereby. The preparation method of a photocatalyst-coated optical fiber fabric composite comprises the steps of: (1) preparing a coating solution by dispersing photocatalyst particles in water; (2) preparing an optical fiber fabric by mixing optical fibers with common fibers; (3) coating the surface of the optical fiber fabric with photocatalyst particles by immersing the optical fiber fabric in the prepared coating solution, and drying the product; and (4) obtaining an optical fiber fabric composite by drying the optical fiber fabric coated with the photocatalyst. The photocatalyst-coated optical fiber fabric composite can remove heavy metals and non-biodegradable organic pollutants in underground water by adsorbing and decomposing the same.
