A ceramic electronic component in which an internal electrode is not easily delaminated is provided. The ceramic electronic component (1) includes an electronic component body (10) and an internal electrode (11). The electronic component body (10) is made of ceramics. The internal electrode (11) is disposed in the electronic component body (10). The internal electrode (11) has through-holes (21a,21b) that pass through the internal electrode (11) in a thickness direction thereof. The ceramic electronic component (1) further includes ceramic columns (31a,31b). The ceramic columns (31a,31b) are disposed in the through-holes (21a,21b). The ceramic columns (31a,31b) connect one ceramic part and the other ceramic part of the internal electrode (11). The ratio of the area of the ceramic columns (31a,31b) to the area of an end located in the electronic component body (10) of the internal electrode (11) is higher than the ratio the area of the ceramic columns (31a,31b) to the area of a central portion of the internal electrode (11). |
