PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side roller which effectively inhibits foreign objects from an exterior part from entering into a roll bearing, and to provide a chain with the side roller.SOLUTION: A side roller 14 includes: a roller member 32 which is rotatably supported by a shaft member 13, which is provided at a side part of a chain 12 in a protruding manner, through a ball bearing 31 and rolls in conjunction with movement of the chain 12; a seal chamber 43 which is formed in a position which is located between the roller member 32 and the shaft member 13 and closer to the chain 12 side than the ball bearing 31; two oil seals 44 which are disposed side by side in an axial direction of the shaft member 13 in the seal chamber 43 and seal a space between the roller member 32 and the shaft member 13 in the seal chamber 43 with elastic force; and a lubricant filling the seal chamber 43.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
