摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device, a battery monitoring system, and a method for activating the semiconductor device capable of reducing current consumption in standby mode.SOLUTION: An IC 20 includes an activation circuit 40 that uses a ground of the IC 20 as its ground and a power source voltage VDD of the IC 20 as its power source. The IC 20 also includes a driving circuit 50 that uses the power source voltage VDD of the IC 20 as its ground and a boosted voltage HV output from a boosting circuit 32 of the IC 20 as its power source. The IC 20 has only the activation circuit in an operation state in standby mode, and when recovered from the standby mode, causes the activation circuit 40 to make the inner circuits of the IC 20 to enter the operation state, based on an activation signal. When all the inner circuits enter the operation state, the driving circuit 50 outputs the activation signal to the activation circuit 40 of the IC 20 in the upper stage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
