PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation device that is capable of shortening the warm-up time and does not generate gloss unevenness in a fixed image because heat is not drawn from a fixation film during the warm-up time.SOLUTION: A fixation device comprises: a cylindrical film as a fixation member, which includes an endless belt base material formed of an insulator having flexibility, and a resistance heating layer and a release layer formed on the base material, and is provided with a conductive electrode part on both end parts of the outer peripheral surface so that the electrode part conducts to the resistance heating layer; a pressure rotor which is installed so that it can contact with and separate from the fixation member; and drive means for rotationally driving the pressure rotor. The fixation member is held by a guide member inserted into the inner peripheral on both end parts. The electrode part is formed wider than the range of the fixation member, into which the guide member is inserted. When the pressure rotor is separated from the fixation member, there is no member other than the guide member, which contacts with the inner surface of the fixation member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
