MONITORING AND CONTROL OF WATER CONTENT FOR FOOD WASTE DISPOSAL, STORAGE, AND TREATMENT SYSTEM

A system and method are provided for a food loading station (102) having a disposer (108) located at a facility that processes food waste. A storage tank (105)receives a slurry of food waste and water from the disposer for storage until the slurry is collected for transportation to a processing facility. A controller (124) is in communication with a flow sensor (308b) that monitors a flow rate of water flowing into the food loading station and in communication with a level sensor (320) that monitors a volume of the slurry in the storage tank. A remote module (330) determines an amount of water that has flowed into the storage tank, determines a water content of the slurry, compares the water content with an optimal water content range or an optimal water content threshold, and performs, based on the comparison, adjustment of the flow rate or generating a water adjustment recommendation indicating that the water content of slurry mix should be increased or decreased.
