The present invention relates to a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) composition for diagnosing a kind or a genetic background of Capsicum annuum for breeding a marker assisted backcross (MAB), which comprises at least one polynucleotide selected from the polynucleotide consisting of a sequence listing of SEQ ID NO: 1 to 413 including a base in a SNP position. The SNP of the present invention is expected to be used as a molecular marker useful for breeding a novel kind of Capsicum annuum.
