PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine capable of preventing a collision of processing head with a workpiece when a height direction of a workpiece to be processed is different or when a workpiece attached to a rotary shaft is processed.SOLUTION: In a numerical control device 10 of a laser beam machine, a position command computing section 78 of a processing head 40 switches to gap control so as to avoid a collision with a workpiece when a gap sensor 65 detects a workpiece 44 when the position command computing section performs an operation in a Z-axis direction for bringing the processing head close to the workpiece. At the time, whether the operation for bringing the processing head close to the workpiece 44 is performed by the gap control (a detection value of a gap sensor 65) or whether the operation is performed up to a position determined by a parameter can be switched by adding switching means by a mode to the position command computing section 78 of the processing head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
